Current Project - a Halloween Canvas

I love Halloween.  Maybe because I love the colors or just the fun innocence of kids dressing up or the fact that when I little Halloween mean that Thanksgiving and Christmas were just around the corner.

Here is my Halloween canvas that I am working on:

This is what I have done so far:

I had a canvas and wanted to use it for Halloween.  So I first painted it with two shades of purple.

The house is a die cut from Sizzix - House, Spooky.  I cut it out of black leather.  I then put a yellow cardstock behind the windows and then filled them in with Glossy accents, to give the look of glass.

The tree is from Unity Stamps.  The set is: Fall for you.  I stamped the tree onto the painted canvas and then used black stickles.  I love sparkly things - can you tell?

The pathway leading up to the house are little plastic crystals that decorated my niece's tables at her wedding last Friday.  I just couldn't stand to see them thrown away and knew I could come up with something to use them and I did.  I put a lot of glue down and then just piled them up and there was some glue "sticking" out so I added some glitter to them.

The fences?  Okay ladies, this is where we can tell our husbands that I knew I could use this.  I bought these fences years ago for about a nickle.  I'll be honest here, I forgot I had them and found them going through some of my things.  I painted them brown added glitter.

I am hoping to finish this in the next day or two.  I have used the Fall for You stamp set to stamp some pumpkins.  I have glittered, painted, and even used some copic markers on a couple of them.  I have cut them out and will be adding them to the picture.

The "grass" is drying on my dinning room table, I've painted the moon on, and will be adding these with some other finishing touches.

My next post should be a completed canvas.

Thanks for taking your time to peek at my crafting journey.

Have a great Tuesday!
